We made soda bread in the the Junior Room today, so popular one child wondered why we ever bother buying bread if we can make our own delicious loaf!
Thanks to all of the families and grandparents who shared traditional recipes with us, we are putting together a class book of traditional foods for our history lessons.
We also discussed how the bread rises, the chemical reactions between the bicarbonate soda and the sour buttermilk.
